Built in the 16th century as a Coaching Inn, the Fox and Hounds is a cosy traditional free house with a focus on conditioned ales, a variety of quality wines and spirits whilst also offering home cooked great quality fresh food at a reasonable price.

The pub boasts a roaring open fire in the main bar area in the colder months and there is also a snug bar restaurant and dining room.

There is seating to the front and the rear of the property in the little beer garden. Parking is available outside the front of the pub and also surrounding non restricted off street parking.

We have an amazing takeaway menu available Wed-Sun, including tasty top notch roasts on Sundays.

We hold live music, quiz nights and wine tasting events to name a few, and every Wednesday between 5-8pm it's happy hour, buy one drink, get the second half price on guest ales and house wines.

This little gem of a pub hidden away in the sleepy village of Steeple Bumpstead is well worth a visit and if you would like to reserve a table, booking in advance is recommended.

Hope to see you soon
